Courtyard House

The almost quadratic house is organised around a courtyard. Above the concrete floor a two-floored massive timber building rises. The roof in the western direction is cut out which leads two a bright courtyard and a bright kitchen in the evening. On the ground floor the focus lays on plain dark materials while on the first floor the inside as well as the outside are dominatetd by white fir. The facade on the upper level consists of white fir shingles, while on the ground floor dark facade paneles are used.While all of the living spaces are situated in the first floor, the sleeping rooms are on the upper floor. The heating is provided by a geothermal heating pump. Additionally a comfort ventilation with heat recovery is being used.
