The new university building will be moved away from the existing building Schwackhöferhaus as far as possible, in order to create a terrace-like space inbetween, which can be used from both sides and thus acts as a meeting zone. Most of the seminar rooms are housed in a massive basement level, which defines kind of a platform for the solitaire volume. In turn, by exploiting all the possibilities offered by the Viennese building regulations, the height achieves a level which gives the construction the right priorisation in the ensemble within the surrounding buildings. The newly planned entrance ramp leads from the parking lot to a south-facing access area, which enables an outdoor passage to the large terrace and Schwackhöferhaus.
