The requirements for an expansion of the company Alpina were already worked out in detail in terms of work processes and development possibilities. That's why (mostly still unresolved) aspects like overall appearance, approach and guidance system, noise protection and expandability are of particular importance.
A circulating band unites all different shaped building parts. It forms a
shade made of vertically slats, which, as an upstream element, covers the company building. Its upper edges respond to neighbouring building heights. Due to various slat spacings, the shade can be designed permeable while differentiated external references can be generated. The striking wooden band becomes the trademark of the building. By applying graphic prints it can also be used as a large, widely visible advertising banner.
