Götzis

The building marks the main axis on the yarn market and the end of the pedestrian zone. The assembly and training hall upstairs get a direct view at the church along the new axis. The almost square structure merges the exterior and interior areas into a balanced unit. The compact layout of the new structure respects the existing northern family houses and gives them a maximum of views and tanning. The training ground is integrated as an upstreamed and separable outdoor area, which at the same time makes it impossible for neighbours to observe exercise and service operations. A temporary canopy across the yard can be easily and quickly installed (e.g. for events). The hose tower marks the new fire brigade as an important building in the municipality Götzis.
